Tammy Warren is a 6th generation Texan and was raised in South Texas, the 4th of 5 children to a Baptist preacher. She graduated from LaMarque High School where she was the first inductee into their “Cougar Hall of Fame” for her many leadership roles while in high school. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Howard Payne University, and after meeting her husband Robert in Austin, they moved back to Brownwood so he could also finish his degree, and eventually attend Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth.
Robert and Tammy were in full-time church work for twelve years, moving to many small towns in Texas and Michigan, before returning to McKinney to raise their 3 children, all of whom graduated from McKinney High School. Tammy is an Executive Assistant at Emerson, where she has worked for 21 years.
Most recently, Tammy served on the 2024 McKinney Bond Committee, 2024 Charter Review Committee, and the McKinney Armed Services Memorial Board. She received a Texas Conservative Leadership Award in Fall of 2024 from Texas Scorecard, of which only 12 Texans receive each year.
She and Robert enjoyed raising their children, Todd, Haleigh, and Emily in McKinney. They are now the proud grandparents of Haddie, Charlie, Jack, and Annalise. They are members of Cottonwood Creek Church.
She is a tireless worker, a problem solver, and a compassionate listener.
